Take the First Step and Get Your FREE, No-Obligation Quote Today!

Our friendly team are on hand to assist from 9:00-16:30 Monday to Friday, and by appointment on Saturdays.

Step 1 – FREE No-Obligation Quote

Simply get in touch with your nearest truhouse. team or complete our contact form, and we’ll arrange for one of our friendly experts, Chris or Lee, to meet with you in the comfort of your home or in our showroom at a time and date convenient for you.

Together, we’ll take a look at which windows and doors you’d like to replace, discuss your requirements, and take initial (approximate) pricing measurements, before advising on the most suitable window and door replacement options available to you, taking into account all of the factors unique to you and your property. We can also show you some samples/examples and advise you on design and colour options.

Our aim is always to make windows and doors as simple as possible, and the typical quote appointment lasts no longer than 30 minutes. However, Chris and Mark will always take the necessary time to fully answer your questions and discuss technical details if desired.

Chris and Lee will pass details of your requirements to our friendly office team, who will produce and email you a written quote, showing a breakdown of your chosen window and door designs, and committing to a fully fitted price (subject to technical survey). We aim to provide all quotes within 2 working days of your appointment, however, on larger projects or during busier periods, this may take a little longer. The team will give you a quick call to advise when your quote is ready, and take the time to answer any questions you may have about your truhouse. quote.

We understand that purchasing new windows and doors can be a big investment, and the last thing we would ever want to do is pressure you into making a decision on the spot – we hate pressure sales just as much as you do – so all truhouse. quotes are valid for 21 days from the date of issue (unless otherwise specified).

Should you have any questions during those 21 days, we will be more than happy to help – just get in touch with your nearest truhouse. team. We don’t employ sales staff and none of our team are on commission – our only goal is to help you improve your home.

Whilst we would always recommend speaking with one of our friendly experts, Chris or Lee, we can sometimes provide an estimate (subject to full technical survey) if given enough information.

Please visit our secure online quote form and provide as much information as possible.

Please be advised that we may still need to speak with you to clarify details prior to providing an estimate, particularly if your quote request is for a large project or involves complex requests or plans that need to be unpicked and understood.

Step 2 – Detailed Technical Survey

If you decide you would like to move forward with your truhouse. quote, we will arrange for one of our experienced surveyors, Chris or Lee, to visit (or revisit) your property to carry out a detailed technical survey.

Our expert surveyor will take photographs, precise measurements, and check the material composition of your property to determine whether any special equipment (such as scaffolding or specialist drill bits) will be needed for the installation.

This meticulous planning ensures we deliver the smoothest, most energy-efficient installation possible, with replacement windows and doors that fit your home perfectly.

We don’t go into this level of detail during your quote appointment because we want to keep things simple, ensuring you have time to choose the style and design that suits you and your home, at a price you’re happy with before we start tapping and knocking your existing windows, doors, and plasterwork or brickwork around. It also gives you the opportunity to ask any additional technical questions you may not have previously thought to ask.

Yes – no subcontracting here! Every job is important to us, so we do all of the surveying ourselves. Our highly qualified and experienced technical surveyors, Chris and Lee, are fully employed, and as invested in quality and professional service as everyone at truhouse.

Our aim is always to be as quick and efficient as possible. The typical technical survey visit lasts between 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the size of your home, how many windows and doors you are replacing, and how many questions you have for our expert surveyors.

Once they have taken precise measurements and technical details for your replacement windows and doors, our experienced surveyors will run through some final checks with you to confirm the specifics of your order.

You can make minor alterations to style or design options at this stage, however, this may affect the cost we previously quoted you in step 1. Our surveyor will be able to check and confirm if there is any price adjustment to accommodate your desired changes.

Once you are happy with everything, we will run through our terms and conditions of sale, explain the next steps, and draw up a contract containing the final specifications and cost of your new windows and doors for you to sign.

Step 3 – Place Your Order

We want to ensure you’ve made the right decision for you, so once you’ve signed your contract at survey, our friendly office team will calculate your deposit amount and email your deposit invoice for payment, and you have up to 7 days to sleep on it before we proceed further.

We can still make minor specification changes within 7 days of the date on your contract, however, this may affect the cost previously agreed. Our friendly office team will check and confirm if there is any price adjustment to accommodate your final changes, and update your contract accordingly if necessary.

Once the 7-day cooling-off period has passed and we have received your deposit payment, we will place your order with our supplier(s).

Yes. Whether you choose to self fund, take out low rate finance, or take out 0% finance, a deposit is required to secure your order and commence manufacturing of your chosen windows and doors.

As you’ll see in the representative examples over on our finance page, the deposit payment required can vary from 10% to 50% of your total order value depending upon which double-glazing funding option you choose.

We offer flexible payment options, so your deposit can be paid via your choice of debit card, credit card (including American Express), BACS, or cheque.

If you would like to take advantage of one of our flexible finance options with low deposits and low interest or interest free credit, we would be more than happy to help.

Simply get in touch to book your 30-minute finance appointment with Natalie, our finance expert, conducted via your choice of media – be it face-to-face in our showroom, in your own home, via video chat or virtual meeting, or via telephone.

For more information on the different funding options we can offer and the finance application process, please visit our finance page.

Step 4 – Manufactured in Britain

truhouse’s expert suppliers will begin processing your order immediately upon receipt.

Working with only the best of British design and craftsmanship, we take pride in the details others often overlook. Your replacement windows and doors will be made to order by experienced craftspeople here in the UK, using only the highest quality materials and components. All windows and doors are quality tested at each stage of the manufacturing process to ensure they meet and deliver on their performance promises and will tru.ly stand the test of time.

We will keep you updated with progress as much as possible, and as soon as we receive an estimated delivery date from our suppliers, our friendly office team will be in touch to offer and agree on a provisional installation date for your replacement windows and doors.

As lead times for replacement windows and doors vary between each of our suppliers, and vary further depending on your specific requirements and demand at the time of order, it can be difficult to give an exact time frame for how long the manufacturing process will take.

We understand that when you make the decision to update your home, the chances are you want it done as soon as possible. Generally speaking, our average lead time is between 3 to 5 weeks from point of order, but this can be shorter for more simple orders, or longer for more complex orders.

We appreciate time is of the essence with certain home improvement and renovation projects. Where this is the case, please kindly make us aware before placing your order, and we will be able to confirm our supplier’s current lead time.

Once your order has been placed with and processed by our supplier, we will be able to offer and agree on a provisional installation date for your replacement windows and doors, based on the estimated delivery date provided by our supplier.

No. As per the terms and conditions of sale (discussed with you at survey and outlined in your contract), you will not be able to make any further changes once your order has been placed with our suppliers (7 days after the date on your contract).

On receipt of your order, our suppliers will place all materials into fabrication. These materials are made to measure and completely bespoke to your home and your personal style and design requirements, so – much like when you purchase any other customised product from a retailer – it is not possible to change your mind once manufacturing has begun.

This is part of the reason why we don’t engage in pressure sales, actively put you in control of the process up until this point, and insist on a 7-day cooling-off period once you’ve signed your contract – we want you to be confident and happy in your decision(s).

Step 5 – Professional Installation

In short, yes – we will need you to be present at the beginning and end of your installation.

On the day of your installation, we will need you (or someone you trust) to grant our friendly fitters access to your property, but afterwards you are more than welcome to leave them to continue installing your truhouse. widows and doors whilst you go out or go about your day.

We would kindly ask that you are present and available on completion of your installation so that we can inspect your new windows and doors together, demonstrate their functionality, and provide you with all the necessary keys. We will also run through some final checks to ensure you are happy with the quality of your newly installed windows and doors*, prior to completing a digital installation acceptance form with you (a copy of which will be automatically emailed to you for records), and confirming that your final balance is now payable (if you are self funding) or your monthly finance payments will now commence (if you took out a finance agreement through truhouse.).

* Any quality concerns or issues raised by you or our fitters that cannot be resolved immediately will be clearly documented on your installation acceptance form for review by our customer service team, who will get in touch within 3 working days of your installation to discuss and progress any required remedial works – be it a quick return visit from our handy installation team to fix a smaller issue, or a visit from our manufacturer’s service engineer for more complex difficulties or defects.

Yes, prior to installation, we do ask that you kindly prepare the rooms we will be working on by spending a few minutes:

  • Removing all curtains, blinds, and any other window fittings.
  • Removing anything breakable such as ornaments or vases.
  • Taking down any pictures or wall decorations.
  • Moving items of furniture at least 1 metre away from the windows or doors being replaced (further if possible).

This will not only prevent any avoidable damage (direct or indirect) to your belongings, but also create a clear working area for our fitting team, enabling your installation to run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

If you are unable to safely move any larger items of furniture out of the way, then our friendly fitters will be happy to help – we don’t want you to hurt yourself.

If necessary, please also arrange for your security company to remove alarm sensors prior to installation.

If you are having windows installed across multiple levels of your property, we will always begin work upstairs first and then work our way down, unless there is very good reason not to.

We would never recommend fitting new windows and doors downstairs and then removing and replacing windows above them. As careful as our skilled fitting teams are, there is always a danger of debris falling onto and damaging your newly fitted windows and doors below.

Our friendly team will always do their best to work carefully and considerately, but in the event you would like us to try and avoid a specific room (such as your home office or your kitchen) at a particular time during your scheduled installation, please let us know in advance of the installation and we will try our best to accommodate this where possible.

Every job is important to us, so we do all of the installation ourselves – no outsourcing or subcontracting here! By employing our highly-skilled window and door replacement installation teams, we have full control over the quality of our installations.

We tru.ly believe our fitters are the best in the business – not only are they are experienced, but they’re professional, dedicated, and tru.ly take pride in their work.

Having new windows and installed in your home will inevitably create a little mess, however, our installation teams are experts at replacing windows and doors with as little disturbance as possible.

We make every effort to ensure your home is kept clean and tidy, using dust sheets to protect your floor and any furniture in the surrounding area to keep mess to a minimum. Once your installation is complete, we take care to vacuum and wipe up any residual dust to ensure we leave your home just as clean as when we found it, if not cleaner – you wouldn’t even know we’ve been there!

Committed to the environment and helping achieve the UK’s 2035 recycling targets, our skilled fitters will carefully remove your old windows and doors and take them away to be recycled.

We are able to recycle 100% of our uPVC waste, and 98% of our total waste – saving more than 12.8 tonnes from going to landfill in the last year alone.

Step 6 – Guaranteed for Peace of Mind

Once your replacement windows and doors have been installed and you have signed your customer acceptance form, we will register your installation (subject to qualifying criteria) with The Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme (FENSA), the largest and longest-standing government-authorised scheme that monitors building regulation compliance for replacement windows and doors.

You will be issued with a FENSA certificate within 2 months of the date of installation, and your FENSA certificate provides proof that your truhouse. installation:

  • Complies with building control regulations
  • Uses energy-efficient products
  • Is registered with the local council
  • Is protected by truhouse’s warranty and insurance-backed guarantee

Here at truhouse, the service doesn’t stop after installation – our friendly team are always here to help in the event you require our assistance.

We take quality and workmanship seriously, which is why we provide all of our customers with comprehensive warranties and insurance-backed guarantees – some of the fullest coverage in the industry. Should you have any issues with your replacement windows and doors that have arisen as a result of manufacturing or installation, they will be repaired or replaced for up to 10 years after the installation date.

Having traded successfully for 41 years, we have every expectation of being here for years to come, and even growing. But in the unlikely event that we should, for any reason, cease to trade during the lifetime of your warranty, your warranty is guaranteed by an insurance policy, meaning you will remain covered (subject to the terms of the insurance policy).

Your insurance-backed guarantee policy document from our specialist provider, Quality Assured National Warranties (QANW), will contain all the information you need in order to make a claim against the guarantee.
